Cash for clunkers will end soon , but how about cash for appliances?

First was cash for clunkers, is now in cash for household appliances.

300 million dollars of the federal government's program will allow people to obtain discounts from 50 to 200 dollars for the purchase of energy efficient appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines.


Unlike the program clunkers money, you do not trade in their old equipment to obtain discounts.

Wettsteins in La Crosse said that the rebate is not only the environment but save money in the long term. Wettstein sale Manger Bruce Swanwick says, "when you buy a front-loading washing machine for over 10 years you'll actually pay for a dryer in savings that you need water and soap you use, as in the past .

Wisconsin is scheduled for more than five million dollars for discounts. Funds for the program will probably begin in November.
